Summer news...

Howdy!

Well, so far, this summer has already had it's ups and downs...

So, as many of you know Brent and Mindy (my brother and sister-in-law) lost the baby. This was their second child, a girl, and she was 8 months old. I'm still not sure what happened, but we know that everything works for God's glory and we have that to fall on.

I'm still looking for a summer job, and I had an interview today that ended with "well, since you aren't going to be back in the fall, we can't offer you a position right now..." This is now the third time this has happened. Other places haven't even bothered to call me back, so at least this place gave me the consideration of an interview. It's hard not to get bummed out, but I have faith that God will open the door that He wants for me to walk through. Maybe this summer something AMAZING wil happen that had I have had a summer job, I wouldn't have been able to experience it...I don't know. I could sit here and speculate all day, or I could just have faith that God is in control, and rest in His timing.

Also, I just went to Jonathan's concert (featuring Natalie and Jennifer) last night, and they were just so amazing! Both bands, and everyone involved just did a phenomenal job! It's so cool to see how everyone has grown up SOOOO much and just how amazing God is!

Not much else is going on except that I finally heard from Jeremy today and he said that the camp asked him to help out at the Texas camp instead of going to the Oklahoma camp. Oh...real quick recap... Jeremy was supposed to work at the Sky Ranch camp branch in Ok. until July 8th, then come back to bullard for 2 weeks, then off to Kenya, again with Sky Ranch for a month.....He just called me this morning and told me that after the training is done at the main camp in Texas (before the workers for the other camps go off to Ok. and Co.) they have asked him to stay at the Texas camp in Van instead of the previous plan to work in Ok. This is cool for us because now MAYBE on his breaks during the weekend we can try to meet up in Tyler or something and actually SEE each other. So, we'll see what happens, but I guess just knowing that the possibility of getting to see him and him being only 2hrs away instead of 8.5hrs makes me feel a little better. Definantly a gift from God. He is still planning on going to Kenya and I'm am so excited to see how God is changing him, and his heart for missions...

Well...it looks like I'm off to do...whatever...lol. If anyone of you know of anyone who needs a babysitter, let me know!

For His fame,
Brittany
